HisaabGenie is the financial super-app we are raising to build for the next billion savers. The app is not live yet. This is a pre-seed raise: one founder, looking for the first investor to fund a team and take it to market — one login, one clear signal, one path to lasting financial wellness.
People do not fail at personal finance because they do not care. They fail because their money, their bills, their products, and the numbers they trust never sit in one place.
Banks, wallets, and cards never meet. Without one view of accounts, spending stays uncategorized, budgets are guesswork, and utility bills arrive as surprises instead of a plan.
Insurance, credit cards, and loans are compared without a real picture of cash flow. People overpay, get mis-sold, or leave the right product on the table because nothing is matched to how they actually spend.
Budgeting feels like homework, so apps get abandoned. Financial education does not become a habit, and wellness never lasts, because there is no reason to come back tomorrow.
Headline inflation and generic averages are not your life. Without peer context or a personal price index, people cannot tell if they are getting ahead — only that the world got more expensive.
HisaabGenie is the system we will build to turn that noise into one login, one signal, and one path to financial wellness — then monetize the relationship those four jobs create.
Payments already went digital. What is still missing is one place that can see the money, match the product, keep the habit, and tell the truth about prices — in the same login.
Open banking and account-aggregator rails turned consented account data into something you can ship, not scrape. A single view across banks, wallets, and cards — with budgets and bills on top — is now a default, and a free layer people will actually open, not a science project.
Insurance, cards, and loans are moving in-app. The marketplace that already sees cash flow can match a policy or a facility instead of making people compare in the dark. That take-rate only exists once Core is the system of record.
The last wave of money apps proved a spreadsheet does not retain. The next billion savers will stay where there is a loop — education they will actually open, a reason to come back tomorrow. Wellness becomes a habit, or it does not happen.
Headline CPI is not a household. After a global price shock, people want their basket and their peers — not a press release. A personal inflation index and a real scoreboard are only possible if you already see the spend.
Those four windows are open now. A pre-seed team that ships into them can own the signal. Waiting until the OS exists is how this becomes a feature inside someone else’s app.
To grow into a high-growth fintech super-app that revolutionizes personal finance — empowering individuals to achieve, and sustain, real financial wellness.
The product is designed, not shipped. Each channel has a job — pull users in, keep them engaged, monetize the relationship, and turn their data into insight.
When it ships, HisaabGenie will be free to download and free to use. We will not charge the saver. Revenue comes from the institutions that need the relationship, the attention, and the insight that Core creates.
Brands pay for the offer. Users play. We earn when a voucher or cashback is issued.

India already has giants in payments, credit, insurance, and wealth. What it does not have is one free app that treats the household ledger as the system of record — then matches products, habits, and a true price index off that ledger. That is the product we are raising to build.
Live products vs our planned product. Read of public pages and reporting as of August 2026. The HisaabGenie column is what we will ship — the app is not in market yet. “Partial” means an adjacent job, not the same job.
Fold is the cleanest Account Aggregator money app in India: banks, cards, investments, cash flow — not a marketplace. INDmoney is the closest stacked peer: AA net-worth, investing, plus insurance and credit referrals. Both see money. Neither is built as a budget-habit loop, a cash-flow matchmaker, or a household inflation index.
Moneyview began as an SMS expense tracker and is now a lending unicorn (personal loans, cards, some insurance). Axio, formerly Walnut, was acquired by Amazon and is a credit product, not a PFM. Expense tracking is the funnel. The product is liquidity.
PB Fintech owns the insurance and loan/card comparison layer. SKU depth and brand we will not out-muscle on day one. They do not run the household ledger, so a policy or a card is still sold without seeing budgets, bills, or cash flow.
PhonePe wins UPI frequency and already sells insurance and credit; PulsePro sells hyperlocal spend intelligence from payments, not from a full bank-and-card ledger. CRED is a high-score credit-card club with bills, rewards, and play — not a super-app for the next billion household savers.

HisaabGenie is pre-seed and solo. The app is not built yet. Sanjai is raising to hire a team and go to market — because his own money had no picture and no plan.
The idea was born out of frustration: no visibility on personal finance, and no roadmap for what to do next. Accounts, bills, products, and inflation numbers lived in different apps. None of them was a plan. HisaabGenie is that plan — and this raise is how it gets built: one investor, then a team, then the market.
We are not raising against a live app. We are raising so the app can exist — and so Sanjai is not the only person who can take it to market.

India first
Hire the first builders. Ship Core first — account aggregation, budgets, bills — so the ledger exists. Marketplace, gamification, and intelligence sit on that ledger; they are not a pile of screens without it.
Hire GTM alongside product. A free app for savers only works if people open it. This cheque funds the first path to users — not a brand campaign in search of a product.
Entity, compliance, and Account Aggregator / partner rails. In India the OS cannot launch as a scrape. This round pays to be allowed to see the money — legally — before we match products off it.
Cheque size is a conversation. The job of the capital is not: fund the first team, build the app, take it to market. Terms on a call.
The app is not live. We are raising pre-seed to hire a team and go to market. If you back that, tell us who you are — we will follow up at hello@hisaabgenie.com.
